It's quite the record to be proud of for Mayor Cherie Wood as South Salt Lake was once again crowned #"Crime Capital of Utah". Mayor Wood usually blushes and looks at her phone as if she didn't hear it when someone acknowledges her on her achievement of a crime rate increase of 5% since she's been in office, but you know she's proud.
South Salt Lake has a crime rate 4x higher than the Utah average and residents and visitors have a 1 in 10 chance of falling victim of a violent crime.
